Across Protocol
Overview
Across protocol is a novel bridging method that combines an optimistic oracle, bonded relayers, and single-sided liquidity pools to provide decentralized instant transactions from rollup chains to Ethereum mainnet. You can bridge over from Optimism, Arbitrum, and Boba back to Ethereum mainnet, bridging over assets such as ETH, WETH, WBTC, USDC, DAI, BOBA and BADGER depending where you are bridging from.
History
Across Protocol went live on the 8th of November 2021 and since then it's been up only, TVL is at $43m and rising and over $200m has been bridged so far to date. Across was built by Risk labs the foundation that supports UMA Protocol.
Significance
Across uses a combination of bonded relayers and single sided liquidity pools to allow for instant withdrawal from L2 to L1, thus doing away with the 7 day wait like on the native bridges, Across is in the process of setting up a fair launch where people from the community get the chance to truly have a stake in the project, just by putting in the work and promoting Across Protocol.
ACX Token
100,000,000 ACX tokens to be minted in May 2022, with 15% initially going to the community and 85% going to Across DAO.
