Total capitalization of a cryptocurrency’s price. It is one of the ways to rank the relative size of a cryptocurrency. The basic way of determining the marketcap of a cryptocurrency is to take the amount of circulating tokens * price. The circulating marketcap and fully diluted marketcap are often two different numbers. This is because with some cryptocurrency, there are locked tokens behind a vesting schedule for founders, teams, and early investors.
