Kraken is a centralized exchange founded in 2011 by Jesse Powell.[1] The exchange allows users to trade over 100 cryptocurrencies.[2] Jesse Powell assisted Mt. Gox after they were hacked in 2011 and he started working on Kraken as a replacement.[3]
