AvarestDAO

AvarestDAO was planned to be an Olympus DAO fork on Avalanche network. From late August to October 2021 Avarest built hype through Discord and Twitter. After raising 229,000 Dai in a presale, the social media accounts were deleted. Multiple crypto twitter accounts, most notably AlgodTrading, raised awareness to Binance that the project was attempting to rugpull after funding the wallet through their exchange. The implication with funding a wallet through Binance is that they have a KYC process which would identify someone closely involved with the project. The team eventually returned all funds to investors, but it is largely suspected that this was a failed rugpull due to quick action from the community.
