An algorithmic stablecoin actually uses an algorithm underneath, which can issue more coins when its price increases and buy them off the market when the price falls.

Some algorithmic stablecoins include:

  • Terra USD (UST)
  • Empty Set Dollar (ESD)
  • Amplefort (AMPL)
